Definitely missed this due to lack of context given for the article. Good find, Bob, and I also found it a very interesting hypothesis.
Let her eat gourmet ice cream.
I think there are going to be maybe 3 or 4 places that are going to be able to test my hypothesis about there being a max daily case load in each area, with 2 minimum (South Dakota and Iowa are the two I’m fairly sure will be able to test it due to what seem to be poor mitigation strategies). Iowa peeps can weigh in about behavior on the ground if correct or incorrect, if they so desire.
She rushed back to Washington to ‘save’ the Post Office, but then tabled a bill that would have helped people. The people who tried to get that bill going thought it was absurd that she was coming back to save the Post Office while ignoring the people.
Her priorities are not with the people suffering at all. This is a money and out of touch problem. Or privilege, whatever you want to call it. If we lose in November, it will be because of her consistent terrible strategy decisions that have resulted in a massive amount of blood on her hands. If we win (especially if we win big), she deserves 0 credit but will take all of it.
She’s number 2 in ‘blood on hands’ right behind Trump because everything she’s not done over the past 1.5 years has enabled him further. The fact that she somehow thinks the only path to a passed bill is negotiating with the WH instead of the Senate further underlines how badly she’s playing this. What if the Dems and WH agree, and then Mitch says ‘lolno’? Has she even considered that outcome at all? This is not how legislation works. You put that s*** on the prez’s desk and challenge him to veto it, not get his go ahead first.

I, for one, am shocked
They really should use %positive instead of %pos since this can get very confusing in Florida.
456 cases before 6 pm in the Czech Republic
The record for a full day is 503. Wouldn’t be surprised if we end up over 700 cases. Hell this is just 2 days into the school year.
Which means you aint seen nothing yet. Those numbers have not even begun to touch on the school opening effect
Sounds like a 94%er.
Nov 1 or 2 if you know what’s good for you
This will be the October Surprise, or eyebrow lift, if you will.
That’s information a speaker of the House should know or have competent staff who can get that information for her.
If she was literally the only customer in the salon, then I really don’t have a problem with it, regardless of the letter of the rule.
Those two hairdressers in MO served 142 clients before testing positive and no one got sick. They were all wearing masks though.
I really don’t think we need to help the right freak out about something where their basic message is “ha ha lol at you guys, you have the follow the rules and we don’t, LALALALALALA!”. Feels very but her emails.
In a sane world the Pelosi salon BOMBSHELL deserves about 1/googleplex of the attention as Trump’s scandals imo.
How dumb do you have to be to not know that going to the salon would be an issue.
With the right if they find out. The left tut-tutting her over anything but optics is silly imo.
Like how dumb do you have to be to have a private email server (applies only to Democrats)?
People really hate hypocrisy. They also hate politicians not following rules the rest of us are required to follow.
*Democrats only. Republicans can do whatever the fuck they want. Democrats eat their own.
I don’t think it’s that crazy to say if your hairdresser wants to open the salon for just you they can do it. The law is dumb imo.
If AOC did it I doubt the vitriol on here would be as bad. But everyone already hates Pelosi - which I knew was going to happen even though she had that little honeymoon period in 2018.
AOC wouldn’t be selfish or dumb enough to do that in 100 lifetimes.
Why is it selfish and dumb - because of the optics or because she had them open up a salon instead of doing it at home?
Because if it’s only the optics than that’s just playing the Republican’s game where Dems have all the standards and they have none. Eff that. The letter of the law is stupid sometimes.
