What makes you sure? I think most of us agree that there was something really nasty going around this winter and it wasn’t covid. Lots of people here had it, including me and my mom, and several people here who had antibody tests done. They were all negative for antibodies.
Also it would have exploded way sooner if it was floating around in the winter.
I havent been tested for anti-bodies, but Im pretty sure I had the same thing as you. I posted somewhere here about a night I could not sleep even a minute due to how bad my cough was, but this thing hit me with a 103.5+ fever, so the fever was a lot worse than what they are saying happens with Covid. Aside form that, symptoms were similar. Harsh, dry cough; headache; shortness of breath; body aches that lasted for about 5 days.
One of the very few good things about 2020 is that it turns out living like a deranged hermit afraid of the sunlight means I haven’t had a cold yet this year.
My gf was tested by University Health Services on June 24. For the past six days, they have told her the test results would likely be coming in tomorrow, and each day nothing. Yesterday they said they would definitely be in today. They didn’t even call her today. She has had low fever, headaches, and bodyaches for over two weeks now but no respiratory symptoms and can’t even see a doctor. Yesterday a 21 year old student at the university here died of covid. Scared and speechless at the incompetence and lack of care.
I’m not sure if this was posted here, but this was the testing article I was talking about:
The third state running into testing problems at the one lab along with New York and New Jersey was Florida. Here was that quote:
I’m having a really hard time believing Massachusetts and Rhode Island are doing as well as they seem to be and will soon be trying to find a reason why that doesn’t include a bunch of results not being viable when analyzed.
