Field hospitals are a bad look. You have to admit you fucked up and admit that hospitals are at capacity. It’s much better to just tell people they aren’t sick enough for hospitals, clog up testing, and don’t count them when they die.
In other news, looks like the hospital capacity model did a pretty good job, and the local analysis seems to have been fairly accurate. Disclaimer: if you live somewhere else in Texas that I haven’t looked at, don’t assume your safe. I pretty much locked on to the first big city in bad shape, and used that as the barometer. I haven’t checked Dallas in a while, or Austin at all, for example.

In less than 5 months, our government has dictated what events are acceptable versus unacceptable to attend. Riots are OK, family funerals are not. Standing in a graduation line is a “safety hazard”, but feel free to line up at Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, and Home Depot.

It’s absolutely terrifying to me that so many people do not question authority because they see that authority as “all knowing.” It’s even more terrifying that these same people rely on corrupt “leaders” to be led, thus lacking all critical thinking skills/independence.

What’s most problematic to me about all of this is that the people who are wearing masks “for the greater good” will be the first to sign up for this shiny new vaccine that’s had 0 longitudinal safety tests against an inert placebo.

What’s more problematic to me is that this Vaccine MAY be the deciding factor in life moving forward.
You thought a mask was inconvenient? Wait until you’re told that you cannot enter a store without proof of the Covid-19 vaccine. Wait until you cannot go to public events, or travel, without proof of having received this vaccine. Your compliance to mask-wearing is enabling this next step!
To everyone that doesn’t believe this is possible - do you understand that our government just successfully dictated to people WHEN they were allowed to be outside, where they were allowed to go, and how their children would be educated, in less than 5 months?(!!!) And that a majority of the population followed blindly because they were told to do so.

If people have not protested the occurrences in America over the last 5 months, they will assuredly continue to abide by unsubstantiated “guidelines” that will include a vaccine.

Lol chiropractors. This is 100% a true story. I had meningitis as an infant and lost most of my hearing. Anyway, I was in a car accident a few years ago. Lawyer sent me to a chiropractor. First day, I had to fill out those medical forms that ask your medical history. I put down I have hearing loss from meningitis. Dude actually thought I got meningitis from the car accident and had no idea what it was.
I have more respect for Trump than I do chiropractors.

Unpopular opinion:
We’ve seen steady growth in confirmed cases the past few weeks but that’s going to stop next week. We won’t see 70k next week and not 60k either (maybe laaate in the week)
This isn’t good news. They aren’t doing testing like anywhere this weekend. We are already becoming terribly backed up in testing capacity everywhere. This means testing will be overloaded and while actual cases will continue to grow, positive tests are going to lag for the next week (and maybe moving forward).
Yeah, they’re going to try to suppress every metric, including letting people die at home and never be tested.

He didn’t explain what is making the different populations have higher or lower death rates (like with cats vs humans). The paradoxes he showed all happened because of mixing data from groups that were very different.
It seems like because Cuomo and the ICU beds and ventilators were so heavily publicized the first time, and then he didn’t end up needing them, now we are just fucked in those regards. It doesn’t feel like we are preparing at all for an impending absolute disaster. Maybe the EU will send us all the ventilators they aren’t using.
