I strongly maintain that anyone who defines themselves by their ethnicity (unless part of a tiny minority) or their gender identity (again unless part of a tiny minority) is probably compensating for something. Being the only one of something in a given area tends to cause society to force a person to have that be a big part of their identity so you can’t hold it against them lol.
So yeah if your identity is that you’re a white man… yikes. White isn’t even an ethnic group lol.

Huh. I emailed the reporter and that follow up of IF those “Non-resident” county cases Are in the state tally is exactly what they are working on.
Whenever I heard Florida non residents I only thought of people from other states. It never occurred to me that non residents of a county would not be counted.
I suspect is what is happening that those deaths ARE being recorded at the state level, but at some extended lag period. This would serve to shmear the daily death curve and cause little mini peaks and valleys depending on the reporting timing.
IF they are somehow not reaching the state tally at all and this is “on purpose” then heads should roll.
I’m going to stan for ethnic identity is reasonable for a minute. My perspective might come from growing up in the most ethnically diverse places on the planet, but I haven’t ever observed it to be a problem for anyone to express pride in and identify as ______.

I’ve talked to at least 3 people who have flown lately and they say it’s amazing compared to what it used to be like. I get the fear but I feel like as long is everyone is masked up and staying far enough apart, it’s just as safe as going to the grocery store (which is pretty much the only thing I do outside of the home these days).
Please tell me I’m not on the crazy pills.
I don’t usually spend hours in the grocery store hanging around the same group of people but maybe I just shop wrong.

I say this as a fan who gets incredibly pumped about both college and pro football every year.
I hope we lose them both. And I hope that Americans spend what used to be their mindless recreation time instead confronted by reality as functioning societies play out their (soccer, rugby, etc.) seasons with relative success. The anti-trump ads write themselves.

You would have to pay me to fly, but my price would I think be only in the four figure range right now. There haven’t really been any reports of outbreaks among flight attendants, passengers, or pilots, which isn’t exactly to say that there have been none, but it’s encouraging. With some data about how often flight attendants have been tested and that they keep turning up negative, I could be convinced that the status quo of flying right now is somewhat acceptable.
I live not far off a flight path and can watch planes take off every few minutes from my backyard. It’s not like there hasn’t been ample opportunities for outbreaks caused by flights. It’s only unclear how much testing is being done on airline employees to detect any outbreaks.
