I’m also pretty surprised since he’s pro-mask given that he’s always been opposed to “compelled actions”. Then again, he also said drug addicts choose to become drug addicts and look at what happened to him.

Yep at his daughters insistence. They made him go cold turkey and he went into a coma and has been super fucked up ever since. I strongly dislike the guy but even I feel a lil bad for him here. First his wife almost dying, then the russia shit, now this.
Also it’s almost a lock his daughter gave it to him. She was confirmed to have had it and said she was experiencing mild symptoms. I visited the JP sub to see what was happening and apparently the daughter released a video of her talking about experiencing covid symptoms while she is cheek to cheek with her baby daughter.
So he was probably being super safe while his daughter was out partying without a mask, shes a full blown Trumper who posted videos of partying without a mask, confirmed to have the rona, and posted videos with her baby daughter cheek to cheek while having symptoms. I feel kinda bad for the daughter, being a woman raised by JP would 100% lead to a lot of fucking issues. So I guess if she did give it to him, it’s kinda on him.
Wait, they made him do that Russia shit? That’s insane.
Plus, his wife has cancer. How did his daughter even get allowed to be near her with covid19?

Part of me agrees, part of me has empathy for him. I don’t think he’s 100% evil grifter like a lot of GOP people, I just think he’s a fucked up dude who has some weird views.
Like he has some decent things about him, he supports medicare for all at least.

I also used to post on a pro Trump forum because I was a sweet summer child and I was like no way 60 million people voted purely for racism. I’m gonna go see why they really voted for Trump. After I realized yes, 60 million people voted purely for racism, I got a kick out of dunking on them, for a bit but got boring. And I mean this was Rogans forum so you’d think it’d be a mix but not like 90% Trumpers who now hated Rogan lololol.
It’s been neat seeing r/politics go from a Hillary/establishment sub to a full blown Bernie sub along with like 90% of reddit. Lot of millennial got woke on that site.

Chiefsplanet DC forum is at least 25% left-wingers now, maybe more. It’s been amazing to watch.
I think it’s a combination of a) logic and truth slowly winning the day (decade) and b) the general disillusionment that happens on either side when your guy is the one in power.

I think you are being hyperbolic and I understand this line of thinking. But this narrative mixed with Russia interference (which certainly happened) has allowed the democrats to skate by without any contemplation or inner work on why they lost.
Boiling it down to humans just being dumb and evil is lazy thinking and just not true.
