He didn’t hit the woman. He hit her boyfriend. What I see anyway is her being shoved after grabbing the guy’s shirt. She lands a punch on the guy in the face area as well.

Not sure exactly what the result was, but someone on NextDoor said they apologized and the police left. She assaulted the guy sitting and he assaulted the boyfriend/husband/whatever. I guess they decided no one in jail was better than two of them. Really like 90% chance they all end up in cuffs if they were Black.

Weird shit going down in America. From the outside, it seems as though everybody’s out of their mind.

In case anyone thinks this is like outside the trailer park, I checked zillow and the closest house for sale to this incident is listed for $7.4M.

Looking for opinions here. Should my wife and I go get tested tomorrow or just quarantine and wait for my buddies results then get tested?

Fucking Karen.

Assuming the unmasked dude is a Trumpkin, this may be the only video of any kind that I end up on #TeamTrumpkin.

And then she has got the fucking gall to try to claim that she either didn’t throw the coffee or that it came after the punches started flying. Even when there is a guy filming the whole thing. And of course, Karen’s boyfriend is the one who calls the cops claiming the other guy was the instigator.

I hope she is getting the standard Karen treatment on social media, but some how I doubt it.

I’ve mildly argued with a few parents who want to send kids back to school and what-not. I mostly just state a fact or a very fact-based opinion and leave it.

I did enjoy doing a hit-and-run on someone the other day. A friend posted something about the current flooding disaster in Bangladesh and how it’s ridiculous that people are whining about having to wear masks when shit like that is going on. One of her friends started saying, “This is why I will NEVER understand ppl who protest our flag,” going on to say that we have it so good here compared to other countries that nobody should disrespect the flag.

I responded, with no intention of following-up, “Hint: they aren’t protesting the flag.”

I knew it would set her off and it did. I’m enjoying watching her complain.

It’s not like he didn’t have an opportunity. He intentionally held back. He could have cold clocked her Ray Lewis style if he wanted when she was pulling on/tearing his shirt. He shoved her away instead.

:+1:

These one liners are the absolute nut way to argue on social media with disingenuous morons, which is a lot of them.

Yeah I think a break might be needed. But I have to disagree about humans - look around the world at all the conspiracy theorists, anti-mask movements, racism, fascism, etc… and I feel like right now in America being depressed is pretty logical, given the pandemic and the hopelessness of the situation in that regard.

Like if I could know right now we’ll be back to normal in 3 years, I’d be fucking THRILLED. As someone with health risks it looks like my choices are going to be to live in solitude for a long time or leave behind all my friends and family and move to another country. I’m drawing to a vaccine working extremely well, basically.

You say humans are pretty great, but Trump still has the approval of more than 1 in 3 Americans.

I’ve noticed somewhat randomly that over the last few months, Philadelphians have decided that stop signs don’t mean stop. I’ll be stopped at one, and someone else has the right of way. I let them go, and the person behind them just zips through with no regard for me or any of the other people at the intersection. The last time it happened I gave them the universal WTF shrug, and they gave it right back to me like I’m the asshole.

Maybe it’s a coincidence that this is happening more lately, but I’m sort of thinking it’s the breakdown of societal niceities given a large percentage of the population’s pandemic behavior.

While you’re right about doctors not being experts in immunology, virology or epidemiology, you’re vastly overestimating how much you guys know more than a doctor. You’re not going to know more than 99% of doctors. If you’re focusing on stats super hard, you’d know about the stats more, but it’s going to be really hard for you to catch up on covid in general. That’s especially true for specialties that have actually worked with it day in/day out.

Truth is that doctors are like any other group. There are idiots and crackpots in that group. That group is filled with people, and while medicine does a lot of filtering no system is perfect.

That being said, it’s not especially hard to figure out these people are quacks. One person went to med school in nigeria, isn’t board certified and believes in demon sex ffs.
