There are plenty of obedient Americans. It’s not as bad as Germany, but I think a lot of countries are better than us in this regard.

So the thing that’s really interesting in this situation is that watching the GOP operate their reactivity is staggering.
They aren’t capable of acting until after they’ve already gotten clobbered for it.
By the time they get a chance to put the fire they just started out it’s going to be big. Donald might never see approval levels this good again.
They just went all in on the Coronavirus being a hoax and freedumb and got slammed with the planet. Now they are going to go in on forcing everyone back to work in the middle of a global pandemic or starve to death at the exact same moment they are getting slammed by the planet on the immutable power of viruses.
When they come back they are going to be terrified that they just blew up the entire real estate market and that dominoes have started falling. All because the ideological corner they’ve painted themselves into has no remaining ‘kick it down the road’ boxes left to scratch off.

I called no UI extension weeks ago. If you want to know what happens next from a policy perspective just turn on Fox or AM radio. They have been beating the poors sitting at home making more than working drum for literally months. Which means they never had any real intention of doing it, at least at the $600 level. They were getting the base on board with it by brainwashing them for months.
Another example is this sending troops to Chicago bit. It is literally because Sean Hannity has been bleating about it for years.
Also we may not quite hit 80,000 new cases today but we are going to get damn close if we don’t.

I forget, was the Kasparitus hit in the playoffs? That Devils/Flyers series was vicious which is why I think people remember it so vividly.
I was always a huge Stevens fan, still am, but after everything alive learned about concussions the last decade, its really rough going back and watching some of his old games.
We’ve beaten you before, not all that scared. Just think our economy would struggle, standard of living and wealth would decline a lot in Canada so rooting against it big time + the whole feeling for humanity and all. Canada is too large to be invaded, and indiscriminately nuking parts of it doesn’t seem realistic.
