Yes. They’re rounding up protesters in Portland and talking about expanding it nationwide. At least half the posters on this site are probably on a list somewhere (evidence has been dropped to show the FBI compiled lists of pro BLM/anti cop social media accounts, for starters). How far am I supposed to watch them go with rounding people up before I get the fuck out?

China locked down hard at the end of January once it was clear what was happening and it still escaped.
It would have escaped no matter who was there because it was spreading around before anybody knew it was a thing.

I don’t even know how to respond to that. I’m sorry you feel that way, but I’m pretty confident that we won’t be seeing a mass refugee exodus from America in my lifetime. Things aren’t great, but uh, there’s a real wide gulf between Trump’s America and Syria in my opinion.

I agree. Most people will just sit and home and feel mildly uncomfortable about Trump imprisoning 10s of thousands of not hundreds of thousands of people indefinitely for being dissidents.
On the other hand, those of us who have reason to fear being rounded up might be inclined to GTFO. I don’t know how likely it is that I’m in the top X% they’d want to round up, but I expect them to be pretty bad at deciding how to do it. I’ve gone to a few marches, criticized Trump and cops on social media, offered support to protesters when I couldn’t make it myself, and donated to bail funds for protesters.
They’ve already called those protesters domestic enemies, terrorists, etc. So think a couple steps out because I don’t want to type out the words. What’s a donation to a bail fund count as in that scenario?
There comes a point where I’m stupid to stick around and find out, and that point may or may not have been this week, but it’s definitely not that far off.

It is extraordinarily unlikely that anybody is on a list because of this site. That would require either an informant on staff, or direct access to the server in a way that doesn’t get logged. Sure, both of those are technically possible, but hardly likely.
We’re already rounding up protesters in Portland. They’ve already promised to take it nationwide. It’s de facto illegal to protest the police or Trump.
It’s way the fuck higher than 1%.
The question isn’t if it happens, it’s how many thousands of people they round up.
