COVID-19: Chapter 4 - OPEN FOR BUSINESS

They’re not going ot have a choice. It’s like it’s March 11th or so all over again. July 15th is a fucking millennia from now. By that point at this rate Florida’s hospital system is going to be overwhelmed and Orlando is going to look like Lombardy.

Yeah they can delay here without it costing them anything. They definitely know they aren’t going to open, it’s just a matter of timing. They obviously don’t want to piss off the local politicians so they probably delay until early July to call it.

Just in case anyone is wondering what the hot take from derp-ville is, it’s “Of course they’re going to be a lot of cases now, we’re testing more people!! Duh!!”

Democrats need to put immense resources towards getting people to vote by mail. Many of these states are going to be absolute bloodbaths come November.

I guess they’re done with “Swine Flu/Hong Kong flu killed more/just as many people!”

Looks like July will be the month where we switch back to using logarithmic scales, like we did back in March.

So, many, commas

Trying to imagine a world where I don’t spend 30% of my waking hours hate-reading things.

Colleague: “Hey spidercrab, how’s work going. Any progress on the project we’ve been working on?”

Me: “Actually, I spent several hours reading the Letters to the Editor of the Villages News, along with their associated comments”

Colleague: “Why, do you have family that lives there?”

Me: “Oh, no. It’s because it’s like a less-informed version of a Facebook post, written by racist, entitled old people who are likely to get Trump re-elected. It sends my lawnmower into orbit and completely eliminates any possibility of me getting actual work done or spending quality time with my family.”

Colleague: “That seems totally reasonable. I will definitely not hate your guts when I am denied tenure because we couldn’t get our research published.”

To the Editor:

We moved from our other senior place because of apartment buildings that surrounded it and became unkept and became inhabited with people that required overhead helicopters.

Just the worst people on the planet.

Scratching my head here: What is a person that requires overhead helicopters?

Can we wait until my kids are done with college? I don’t want to move now and make them change schools/find new friends in their middle school and high school years and I want to wait to see if in-state universities are their best bet.

“Urban” criminals.

I live in Texas. I have no idea if we’re getting jettisoned or not. At least we pay our share of taxes. Way better than KY which I fled a little over a year ago.

Ya hate to see it
