Why doesn’t China have its own pigs and pork?
They do, but China has high per capita and overall pork consumption. It was already high before they increased their middle class by 100’s of millions.
We should send them our police in the next trade deal.

Landlord’s helper just shows up to install smoke alarms for a city inspection this week. No mask, got offended when I asked him to wear one. He did though.

I think it suggests at least some of your reporting from test to result is probably on a 7 day+ lag and that’s likely how they’re coming up with the impossibly low projection for this week. My guess is results are also probably coming back faster than they expected this week.

That article doesn’t pull any punches.
The only bright spot in all this gross stupidity is that the Republican National Convention will be held in Jacksonville later this summer and that the same non-existent simple precautions won’t be used there either. Here’s hoping everyone who attends gets sick.

So Cal fitness gym opening back up next week. I mean I have some issues and won’t be going back right away, but I’m also conflicted and assume that like 100M will get it in the US before we have a vaccine. The issue will be whether semi-effective treatments become available in the next few months and 80%+ of the cases aren’t too bad. That said, there are plenty of things people shouldn’t be doing, and I’ll be monitoring the info on gyms to see where they are on the spectrum.
