The vaccines have been updated to better match recent variants, although not XEC, which has emerged from earlier Omicron subvariants.

went to a concert last friday, started feeling sick monday night. i donāt get sick so i took a test tuesday morning and it was covid. tues/wed/thurs were predictably miserable. got my doctor to prescribe Paxlovid yday, took 2 doses yday and one this morning and ill probably take one more tonight then honestly save the rest in case anyone i know needs it.
probably already been discussed here, but itās 10 packs of 3 pills, supposed to take one morning and one at night. i was probably on the tail end of being sick yday anyway, but i definitely feel better than i have since monday. i can breathe through my nose (!!), not coughing/sneezing as much, etc. still feels like somebody hit me as hard as they could in the ribs (hopefully thatās a pulled muscle from sneezing/coughing and not my lung?), but iāve been up and halfway productive since like 730am and havenāt been awake longer than an hour at a time so 
i wonder if you can āpre-orderā paxlovid? if so, itās certainly something you should keep in your cabinet just in case.

Woke up with a cough yesterday which morphed into a sore throat. The extreme runny nose hasnāt really started yet. Iāve had a few viruses or something the last few years and Iāve been tested for covid 3 or 4 times and have not been positive yet. Going for another test in about an hour. I suspect I will test negative this time as well, but canāt be sure.
Tested negative. Thatās good. Still sick. It happens.

Got the updated COVID jab and a flu shot yesterday at 10:30AM. Side effects set in quicker than I remember from previous shots - my arms hurt and I felt a little funky around 4-5 hours afterward. Sleep wasnāt too bad and this morning Iām pretty out of it, but so far this is on the far mild end of reactions Iāve had - I was prepared to be out of commission today and it doesnāt look like that will be the case.

Iām still waiting for eligibility. Because we have SOCIALISM in Canada, the health care totalitarians are prioritizing more vulnerable populations.

Wife got the double windmill slam yesterday as well with a first go with Moderna. Seemed to be pretty fine, though more tired than usual last night and must have had some wild dreams that featured some epic sleep yelling/jabbering lulz. Also appears good to go today with some soreness.

this was similar for me, I had arm soreness same day, the next day I woke up with just the soreness but otherwise feeling ok, developed some joint aches during the day, but by dinnertime on day 2 everything was pretty much back to normal

I was ānot sharpā for about 30 hours. Played tennis at hour 48.
Not much in the way of aches.

Iām getting flu Covid and shingles shots on Saturday

First or second shingles shot? The second one hit me like a ton of bricks.
I got my flu vax but rolling the dice on COVID bc itās >$100.
The pharmacist said the arm soreness is mostly due to tensing your arm so relax it. But thatās hard to do when you know sheās about to jab you with a needle.
Shingles vax is one of the few that fucked me up pretty good for a day or two.
