My union (state employee) negotiated a $1000 bonus for anyone that took the bivalent booster.

Probably a worthless, meaningless anecdote but when I went grocery shopping yesterday I noticed more mask wearers than what Iā€™ve been seeing lately. It was noticeable enough that the thought that people must know people getting sick crept into my mind.

I just assume they have Covid or just getting over it. If itā€™s a worker who I have never witnessed wearing a mask before I stay clear of them.

And your point? cities massively dominate the county they are in.

Iā€™ve been going to a hospital 2x a week for physical therapy for like the last 6 weeks. They recently made masks optional about 2 weeks ago and almost no one is wearing them anymore.

I went to a hospital lab today, and the phlebotomist wasnā€™t masked, although I was.

Gonna be honest. I did think of covid for the first time in a long while when I started coughing and having perceived allergy issues a few days ago.

Turns out that itā€™s probably just having a fan blowing directly on me as I sleep at night is drying me out. Because Iā€™m fine all of a sudden that Iā€™m sleeping elsewhere.

Definite uptick in the US too.

Putting COVID aside, I canā€™t believe youā€™re so casual about risking Fan Death.

I lived in South Korea when I first heard of it and laughed in a womanā€™s face when she said it thinking that she was joking.

She wasnā€™t.

Apparently itā€™s okay so long as you keep a window open.

Itā€™s been a while since Iā€™ve read a good article about COVID but this one from Canadaā€™s national broadcaster is a good summary of where weā€™re at. Itā€™s not super in depth or anything but answered, for example, my recent question about if we should be getting another round of vaccines soon.

Spotted this one today. Stupid anti-vaxxers.

Yikes. My daughter got her first vax in March 2021, baby born in April. I did not know about the stillbirth thing. Glad she and her obstetrician went ahead, though her odds of catching Covid then were close to zero. They had a very small, very careful pod. I had to drive 8 hours to get my shots in Ohio so I could meet the baby after she was born.

Has had another since. Normal number of fingers and toes on both. The 5G at their house is fantastic.

My wife had a miscarriage at 4 months, 2 weeks after getting her booster. She had a subchorionic hemorrhage 2 days after the booster.

[sp] we have assigned 0%blame to the vaccine[/sp]
