I guess I wasn’t sure that a 5th dose would be approved in 5 or 6 months when #4 is just getting approved for vulnerable populations now, but perhaps you are correct and my assumption that it was one or the other was incorrect.
I’m eligible but will wait until it’s clear there is a surge happening or I have to travel somewhere with a surge. (For the reason of wanting a fresh boost for the next go-round).
Don’t worry, they are already pivoting. From some facebook comments section…
To be clear, no one ever called it a cure, it was prescribed as a potential prophylactic.
A prophylactic is a preventative measure. You don’t prevent pregnancy by putting on a condom AFTER you have sex. So, trying to find common ground, I certainly side with you and agree that Ivermectin is not effective at tamping down an active infection with high viral load inside the body. And to be fair, I don’t think this is what credible people have claimed. Again, prophylactic.
I don’t know what Wookie was suggesting, but I was suggesting that you just get a 5th dose whether it is approved or not. It is extremely easy to do that if one desires it.
There are certainly legitimate reasons why you might not want to take this course of action and I think that reasonable people can disagree about those.
Ahh, I gotcha. Yeah I don’t think my mom is going to be down with rogue dosing (and obviously is going to ask her GP what to do). Appreciate your thoughts.
I have a similar question.
My dad is now eligible for dose 4. For over 65s in Australia its available 4 months after booster.
Any reason why he shouldn’t get it as soon as possible?
Apparently deers all over the US have Covid. So watch out horses.
That story was fake news by the horrible media. I wasn’t even there.
I don’t think there has been enough people with 4th dose to know but there was some research on third doses indicating a wider spacing was best.
Without the research though it seems like get it as soon as you can is generally the best approach.
Caveat I am not a medical professional.
Nobody gives Ivermectin to deer. They do horses. Case closed.
Ive been told I need to ban someone for promoting “The Great Horse Lie”
Comeon now fellas, keep it civil
I guess the internet really does need a sarcasm font.
IsN’t ThIs ThE sArCaSm FoNt?
Government really is astoundingly incompetent sometimes. Two days ago Canada removed testing for entry yet you are required to use the arrivecan app which right now requires you to agree to get tested!
Comedic levels of incompetence.
Anyone who is fully vaccinated.
Got my jab #3 appointment set for next Thursday. Come scream at me if you like, yes I still have anxiety about it.
Anxiety is fine as long as you do it.
It’s a very common phobia to be afraid of needles.
I once had a theory that anti-vaxxing is just a cover for people who are paranoid of needles. They’d rather believe in conspiracy theories than admitting to being afraid of something.
Obviously that was proven wrong but I thought it was solid when I had hope for humanity.
