What a fucking waste of resources.

Does anyone know why it was even tested in a full study? Hard to believe it was pure politics. Was there some medical reason to think it might work?

If it was 100% politics wow what a waste of medical resources.

But still as has been noted elsewhere, 0 horses died of Covid.

Informal poll:

  1. Who among you who have received Jab #3 got COVID and what was the extent of your symptoms/misery?

  2. Same question, but for those who have/had only had the initial two shots?

  1. Wife had 3 jabs and got COVID. It was indistinguishable from a standard cold. Probably a bit milder than the average one.

3x jabs. 1 day of chills and fatigue. 2 days of a minor head cold and then poof back to normal.

With 3 jabs, I had a cold of average severity (for colds) but shorter duration.

3 jabsā€¦ I always got them first thing in the morning right after working all night.

My move each time was to go home and get blackout drunk after getting the jab. I was so hungover I wasnā€™t worried about feeling any side effects from the vaccine. 24-48 hours later, felt fine.

AMA about more actionable medical advice

Loooooool drunk after night shift is a brutal way to end a string of nights damn nothing but respect. I could never do this

Finally have a flight booked home after four years away. Wonā€™t be a fun trip. Father recently had surgery. Mother just lost her beloved dog. Iā€™ve got a knee injury and can barely walk. But with all the crap my family is going through I canā€™t delay any longer.

Third jab will be inevitable. Just trying to decide to get it here before going, or there before I come back.

Iā€™m not sure what all is approved in Japan, but if you can get an mRNA vaccine, the sooner the better, unless your trip is > 3 months away.

76 year old mother on the triple Pfizer juice. Just approved for dose 4. Good health as far as 76 year olds get.

In an area with low community spread in the northeast would you advise getting jabbed now or waiting through the summer and jabbing up for the fall/inevitable holiday surge?

Iā€™d consider doing both now and fall.

iā€™m pretty sure i had it after jab 3, although i took antigens and pcr twice and got negatives. i was mostly just sneezing, and had to sleep off a headache one evening.

Yeah, porque no los dos? Fall/winter surge is 6 months from now, when youā€™d be due for a booster anyway.

Thatā€™s my favorite part of working nights:

drinking at 9 am on a weekday

I donā€™t have any family obligations or anyone to disappoint, though, so I donā€™t recommend it for everyone

I dodged covid until after I was triple vaxxed. Had (probably) omicron in January. Really sore throat, no energy, cough, headache, etc. Didnt get out of bed much for ~8 days. Then was fine.

Got 3rd jab in December, caught Covid 3 weeks ago

that was me for the first ~4 days, then I started feeling better. I had colds/flus that were worse but nevertheless an experience I would have rather skipped. Still have the cough.

Had a co-worker that got a call from his kids teacher. Kid had remarked that Dad drank beer at breakfast. He had to explain to the lady that while the kids were having breakfast, that meal was his dinner and he had a beverage just like she probably has wine in the evening.
