Well hopefully this holds up. There is a pre-print available. Very very cautiously optimistic. Sounds like a cocktail of copy of antibodies screened against omicron with different binding domains if I read the article correctly.
2 years in, and back to theorizing about aerosolized virus.
Take it to the lab leak thread
Has everyone who ordered the four free covid tests back on 1/19/22 received them by now? Iām not sure how to check on the order, donāt have a shipping # or anything.
I received mine on Monday.
I got mine like 7 days after the website dropped
They send you a follow-up email right before the tests get delivered.
I ordered mine on the first day, and just got an alert today that they were on the eay.
Mine are slated to arrive Saturday.
Mine arrived two weeks ago. About 3-4 days after the link was posted ITT.
Yea I received them last Friday.
Scratch that, they were in my mailbox when I wrote that post. āBy Saturdayā meant Wednesday. I guess I owe a debt of gratitude to Louis DeJoy for speeding the mail up.
Only 6% of children between the ages of 5 and 11 are vaccinated in the Czech Republic.
Goes to show how poor communication has been about vaccines since the booster became a thing.
Speaking of chidren, schools will not have to test students for covid after February 18th.
So yeah, this country has decided to let it burn through the people. They think they can be like Denmark, Sweden, and Ireland but those countries actually have really high vaccination rates while the CRās is only slightly lower than Americaās
California comfortably seems over the peak.
Also, vaccines remain effective at preventing cases, especially when boosted.

Son already on the upswing, though being quarantined is starting to mess with his levels of well being. Hopefully he will be out soon.
A study conducted random PCR sampling in the Gold Coast, Queensland around the peak of their Omicron infections. They sampled 117 people of whom 20 tested positive. Only four of those people had any symptoms and only two were aware they had the virus.
How did they select the randoms? I assume they didnāt pick people already in the hospital? Any idea on who was vsxxed?
Interesting but we need more details.
In b4 lolsamplesize, but youāve pulled me in, I want to know MOAR
They went and knocked on doors of random households. A follow-up survey of 143 people a week later only turned up 11 positives (6 symptomatic, 2 aware they had it). More testing will be conducted this weekend.

Doesnāt look like info is available on vaccinated/unvaccinated, about 90% of 12+ year olds in the state are double-vaxxed.
Iām being lazy because Iāve had my face in spreadsheets for 16 of the last 17 hours, and it seems like you may already know the answer. Did they do anything to account for a potential selection bias in who answered the doors? Or address that possibility at all?
(Like for example, someone scared to catch covid might not answer the door, so the sample could skew towards less careful people.)
