If the government has generous unemployment benefits and the majority of workers who can’t work remotely are more likely to be lower paid - seems like it would matter less ?
Also not calibrated for an acute national emergency that both precipitates a depression and increases the popularity of the guy in charge.

But no I’m thinking they’re not in a position to make their own choices in this regard, unless I go to ownership and try to get something along those lines in motion.

I imagine a ton of people are now inadvertently finding out just how much money they tend to spend on “going out” and I can’t see how those industries can recover. A lot of sort of contradictions and hypocrisies that we just ignore and live with are getting exposed, things are going to change lol
