You can still see general trends from the data as long as they’re not testing people consistently.
The huge unknown is what the actual lethality rate of COVID-19 is. I think it’s gonna be years before we have a clue.
I know a certain country has 17.5 million antibody tests on order and is testing them as they’re not paying if not 100% effective.
So 360 million tests at 100% effective probably as likely this early - needs testing like the vaccine or China would have been using antibody tests MONTHS ago.
CDC couldn’t even get a functioning Covid test for the first 6 weeks or so - GL with an antibody test thats forms the basis of population coming out of world’s most lienient lockdown

If we have maxed out testing capacity and/or deaths are getting misassigned for that or any other reason they don’t matter at all. Yes maybe from ny specifically because we have some data that is probably closer to complete, like hospital admission, you can draw some conclusions. I really doubt you can draw any conclusions on the data from places like Florida or Georgia or the like.
I’m rolling the dice with staying out of jail by breaking copyright laws rather than dispensing potentially deadly medical advice over mass media.

That’s not entirely true. If deaths are getting misassigned systematically in the same way, you can still draw some conclusions about how this is progressing.
