Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Do you have to work your hours during normal business hours or could you spread it out? Get up before her and get a couple hours in, get her playing and get another hour or two, take a break and some time with her, and so on… Maybe spread some work over the weekends, too?

Grunching, but Casinos are starting to shut down. I just got an email from Seneca Resorts and Casinos (Niagara Falls) that they are closing.

A lot of NH school districts are closing. Kind of surprising, honestly, with only 6 confirmed positive cases in the state (obviously lol at the confirmed number). Looks like at least some state and local govts are taking things seriously. Reason given for closing my daughters district was to help keep the peak as in control as possible in order to try and keep the healthcare system from getting overrun. At least somebody is paying attention.

My office just closed. All work from home effective immediately.

In my area the grocery stores in the poorer parts of town are fully stocked. I guess unsurprising since poor people didn’t have money to panic hoard.

Illinois schools donezo effective Tuesday.

He did mention restricting visits to nursing homes in his speech.

I went to the little local grocery store today, and although it was a little busier than normal, they had most things in stock except for sanitizing wipes. (Lower/middle class area where I live.)

Then went by one of the larger chains because I needed to pick up a package at the FedEx drop at the CS desk, and it was absolute madness inside. I didn’t look around at all because the CS desk is upfront, but every register looked open and had lines running up the aisles.

So a trump supporter hit me with this.

Norwegian Cruise Lines has cancelled all cruises worldwide. Six FLags is closing all parks. LEGO land closing all parks. Sea world closing all parks.

Here you go:

Tom Hanks (and you have my permission to say he is near death)

Royal Caribbean has cancelled all cruises.

Every single one of the top 25 theme park companies in the world have now suspended operations worldwide.

My university finally pulled the trigger and we’re wfh next week. Also our chancellor is in self-quarantine.

LAUSD finally pulled the trigger too. Hopefully they have a plan to feed all the hungry kids.

Foxwoods has never closed in 28 years. Curious to see how long they hold out.

Tuesday? They want one more chance to spread corona that people got over the weekend before they close?

Stupid fucking boomers at the la poker rooms are gonna be pissed! James Woods is probably firing off a bunch of crap right now.

And can we please shame Dr. Drew out of existence for good? No of course not. Everyone will pretend like he never called this massively overblown and blamed the media for everything.

Murphy jumped to conclusions, assuming the funding reductions had gone into effect and the programs in nearly 40 countries were closed. But that’s not correct. Advocacy groups and congressional officials jumped into action. The Trump administration backed off and now appears to fully support GHSA. The recent news reports cited above more accurately said that the administration had sought these cuts, without mentioning that they did not go into effect.

Murphy earns Three Pinocchios.

Yeah, nursing homes are 95% trump voters so he’s been told to protect them.

Or more short-term thinking: they cause his Corona numbers to go up quickly.
