Let me spell it out for you. Trump isn’t a successful businessman. He’s a tax cheat. He’s a bankruptcy whore. He’d have 5 times as much money by buying the market as a whole and parking his wealth there. Instead, he failed at casinos (LOLOLOL), fraudulent universities, steaks, vodkas, airlines and a million other things. He was born an inch from home plate and thinks he hit a grand slam. Turning 200M dollars into 3 billion over 5 decades isn’t hard.

It’s too late! I’ve already dubbed the rivaldo!!

Terrified. You played 1/2 on stars a decade ago. I can’t handle your skill.

So do you think that (test scores) equate to wealth? If so, what do you think trumps scores were?

I think inheriting 200M makes you wealthy.

What did you score on your standardized tests?

Thought so

Is it because you feel trump scored less than you, but he’s much richer so you feel you can’t agree?

Do you think Trump having more money than me has more to do with inheriting 200M or his intellect?

So, I’ve recently been presented with what seems like an incredible opportunity. It only requires minimal work, and the reward is amazing. With that said, it is risky. I would definitely appriciate some advice from everyone, especially if you have ever been involved in something like this before. Anyway, without further delay, heres the basic scenario:

An new cutting edge company has the following job opening: They need people who will go to a specified location every morning at 4:30 AM. The location will be the same every day. You then pick up an enormous pot of hot oats. It weighs about 30 lbs, but it has a lid on it that is snapped shut so that it won’t spill. There are two handles on the side of the pot that do not get hot at all. However the rest of the pot is extremely hot due to the scalding hot oats inside of it. You must hold it away from your body to prevent from being burned badly. This can be difficult due to the weight of the pot, but as long as you are careful, you will never get hurt.

Your job is to move the pot 1 mile in distance. There is a painted white line that you must follow, and you must stay within 2 ft of that line at all times. The line is completely straight- no tricky turns or anything like that. The tricky part is that speed is an issue. You are not timed, but there will be multiple supervisors watching over you. Should you not give maximum effort each and every day, then you will be fired. You do not need to be in great shape; You just need to give maximum effort. And coincidentally, you probably will get in better shape from doing this each day. A few other rules: You must be on time each day, you may not be intoxicated in any way when you show up, you may not wear socks.

At this point after our convo, it’s obvious that you equate money = intellect. Does it not?

My position is literally the opposite you illiterate rube.

So if I build my wealth greater than the average rube, without a college education and lower test scores. Where does that put me on your scale?

Or Better yet what is your opposite opinion exactly?

You can’t comprehend a single thing anyone posts in this thread. How many Natty Lights have you had tonight?

I always tell my students that if they learn how to play suited connectors well, they will prosper at NLHE. In the interest of giving back to the community that helped me so much, I will post a little hand that shows some suited connector theory.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $119.80
CO: $98.05
Button: $412.90
SB: $94.75
Hero: $12.15

Pre-flop: ( 5 players ) Hero is BB with 2 4
2 folds , Button raises to $4, SB folds, Hero calls.

This is an obvious button steal situation from a huge stack. The best way to stop a bully is to vigorously defend your blind by calling. The best hand with which to do so is suited connectors. I have the most success with the black sc’s at Full Tilt, spades and clubs, so this is an easy call for me. At Pokerstars, I do better with spades and hearts, so I might fold it there.

Flop: A 6 J ( $8.5, 2 players )
Hero checks, Button bets $7, Hero calls $7.

I feel the back door draws that I flop here justify a call. Plus, I play so well postflop that outplaying button from this point on in the hand is a strong possibility.

Turn: 6 ( $22.5, 2 players )
Hero checks, Button checks.

The 6 is a great card for me. The plan here is to rep the 6 with a check raise all in, with the fold equity that that play would have. However, villain doesn’t cooperate as he just checks behind.

River: 4 ( $22.5, 2 players )
Hero bets $1.15 (all-in), Button calls $1.15.

My plan to represent the 6 here is still on the table. Most people advocate checking the river and hoping to get to showdown. I feel most regulars are able to lay down an ace here against me as they likely have a note on me that says “good player, avoid”. So I bet it as strongly as I can, villain calls and shows…

…KQ and my hand is good! So, as you can see, playing suited connectors WILL net you a profit at NLHE IF you are bold and aggressive with them in certain spots like I show above. I don’t expect everyone to pick up this artistic style of play quickly where people stack off with King high, but hopefully a few will understand the theory behind this and be helped.
