I could be misremembering, but I think the reasoning was that, since Vegas has gotten so good at setting their lines, there is something something more value in getting more points since there’s always a chance the favorite can still lose a close game or something. I’m pretty sure the one making the claim didn’t show his work. I think I read it in a side bar on r/sportsbook someplace. I’ve not tested it. In fact I’ve been two teasers this year (lol sample size) and teasing the dog up was bad for me while teasing the fave was good so /shrug.
Like if Vegas has it down wrt setting lines it seems the logic should work both ways iyam, but I’ve done no math to test it.

Someone keeps banging NYG 1Q up to +245 and I keep taking it because it’s arbable everywhere, so now I have a bunch of money on the NY fucking Giants vs Tom Brady. Should probably lay some off but I’m greedy.
