I dont dislike Victor, but can you blame people for not wanting to have an “honest discussion” with someone who has called them names 10x over? You can’t come in super hot, start at 11 then dial it back. That’s not how it works.
When I expressed similar complaints about Clovis-- frequent, repeated knee-jerk insults and dismissal toward anyone who expressed a position to his left-- people told me that actually no he’s a good guy and a good listener and you can change his mind if you talk to him.
I’m not up in arms about it-- I don’t enjoy arguing politics online anymore and I find it futile, so I don’t bother-- but I think it might speak to Victor’s point about how different people can commit the same behavior but get treated differently based on other factors that shouldn’t matter as much as the behavior itself.

I’ve been ripping on Biden and the Dems for years. I’ve gotten quite a bit of pushback but it hasn’t bothered me much. Mostly because I seem to be empiracaly right and you can just wait a few days or a week and the politicians will make my point for me. Hell my profile pic the entire time this site has been in existence has been a jab at Biden.
I guess I’m just trying to say who cares if a subset of the forum wants to believe Biden and the Dems aren’t one of the major root causes of the actual problem. You aren’t going to convince people who aren’t convinced of that by now. It’s a pointless endeavor.
It probably doesn’t mean much but I’ve always enjoyed your posting @Vict0ar. I’m sure people think I am overly pessimistic also but I frankly don’t care. I encourage you to take the same approach.

The agrumental nature of the both or the just let me get this misrepresentation in itselfs is detremental to the forum as a whole, the constant I’m under attack is getting boring now and I have patience lol, I drive a taxi a night ffs, its annoying, you may be right 99% in the posts you layout, but the overall picture imo is why JT has decided to ask for different modding representation and I’m sure some will follow, it may seem wrong at 1st, it may never seem wrong and even if it fails, believe me it’s needed and not only I, but others may see this and come along and alough you may never read this, or anyone else, I truly believe the space between my politics and yours will have to meet up at some point for the world to be a better place, but we’re tired and overworked, so at some point people from both of your spaces (the highly educated) will have to fill that void if we ever have a chance at a better world.

Hmmm… Well not to give more fodder for nitpicking, but… A lot has happened. I don’t blame anyone for not remembering things exactly as they happened. My memory and Ctrl+f skills are not perfect either.
I was modded for banners after a public discussion and vote.
I took on a more involved mod role after, again, a very public and protracted discussion with the most vocal posters.
I banned CW similarly–after a long and very public discussion on this forum. The posts are all still there.
Idk what else I’d want to say that some of us didn’t already say in this thread.
It’s been six months since I took a more active mod role (lol at being AWOL for four of those last six months). I have no intention of being active here again in the current climate. Just not a good fit for me and how the style of discussion here affects me.
This place doesn’t need to shape itself according to my needs and preferences. Love you all, even the people on my ignore list. I don’t need to like you for you to still be okay with me. You all helped me through a very difficult last four years.
I rescind my mod powers. @moderators please remove all traces of the super soldier serum from my blood.
