The de facto rules of war have to be pretty loose for you to chalk up being shirtless, waiving white flags, and speaking hebrew as a potential target

It’s almost like whenever you take a bunch of young dudes and dress them up like super lethal tactical war guys strapped up with weapons of war they tend to do stupid shit a lot of the time.

We probably need to shut that down until we can figure out what the hell is going on.

Always fun to watch a guy succumb to the praise of a bunch of nazis because it makes him feel good. Thats what his whole career is about. Who is going to tell me they like me the most? That is who I will go with. What a fucking clown.

Not to be too cynical but it does seem like it would have been better for Palestinians if they just lost all the land a long time ago and started elsewhere? Are any Palestinians who left wishing they stayed?

Where?

Do you mean like if they went and homesteaded some unclaimed territory somewhere on the globe? Antarctica?

You mean if they just showed up at the border of some other country (e.g. Egypt) and were like “let us in, we want to live here?”

Or do you mean if Israel had just done the atrocities we’re witnessing now back in 1967 and the present day people’s ancestors were mostly killed (and thus they never got to exist) except some small subset that was able to get refugee status and become second class citizens in some other country?

It’s easy to see the horrors of today and say anything else would be better, but all other paths were likely full of other horrors we can only speculate about.

A lot of Palestinians did in fact leave for other countries during the Nakba.

How about American “Sanctuary Cities” taking in Palestinians?

Not sure if Detroit and Baltimore and Chicago are “Sanctuary Cities”, but given that the Palestinians are accustomed to living in a war zone, they might feel right at home in those cities.

Certainly not an ideal scenario for them, but certainly much safer than their current locale.
