I mean I can give you pretty good news updates about what’s going on. I just don’t know the extent of details you care about.
it’s sad. happened quick, too.
The post is just one line, so it looks like it works.
I was going to complain about this. Used to be you could count on Twitter for up to the minute updates, people commenting etc.
For the attack on the rave I’ve seen the same and only two videos about it and I refuse to believe hundreds of young people did not video something.
I just get pundits making comments, nothing about what hashtag is trending and follow it for up to the minute news. It’s all very stale.
They picked up additional 240 dead bodies from the rave today while hundreds are still missing.
The event is gruesome, but I guess I’m more complaining that Twitter used to be the go to source for information because you’d get all kinds of information. You’d get pundits pontificating, but you’d also get first hand accounts for second hand accounts directly. You’d get people fact checking, analysing, etc directly in the feed. Now it feel like, at least for this event, I barely know more from reading Twitter than I do if I were watching cable.
Gilad Erdan claims there are dozens of American citizens within the hostages in Gaza.
social media has really evolved, used to be the place to get great real time information, now it’s to find out your grandmother was killed and it’s on video
she probably faafo.
Honestly have no idea if we would send troops because of this. Probably 50/50?
i’d go way closer to 0%
just hostages, don’t believe so though right wingers would be screaming for it anyway
if they get killed though then there’s going to be some real outcry to do something
Dozens of American hostages? Republicans would send troops in an instant. Only reason it’s maybe a no is because Biden is president.
The updates today are truly awful and sickening and the future looks bleaker than usual.
10 year ago republicans would. Today no chance.
Modern Republicans will first check in with Putin to see how he wants America to play this.
Confirmed death on the Israeli side are now over 700.
One thing i see over and over in the “pro palestine” twitter side is how settlers are not civilians etc. Not a single gunfire was at a settlement. This notion, which I also saw in this thread in a way, just clears the way to a right-wing moral and logical justifcation of doing just about anything in Gaza. If indeed you consider anything within the green line (aka - the entirity of Israel) as a settlement that needs to be liberate, it would be insane by the 10m citizens of Israel not to fight for their life.
I’m not sure a 2 state solution is even remotely possible, but I do know that if both sides agree that it isn’t and each country “deserves” all the land, the only logical result will be an all out war with millions deaths and refugees, just like some in this government crave.
One underground poker club i play at basically runs 364 days a year (except Yom Kippur) and it’s been closed for two days now. That’s my waffle house metric to how shitty the mood is.
