2023 Israel Conflict - Ground Forces Enter Gaza

In particular, he faced criticism for a video in which he recited the Kaddish Jewish mourners’ prayer for the victims of the war, including hundreds of women and children in Gaza whom he claimed had been “slaughtered.” Since then, Frey has received hate messages and numerous phone calls.

On Saturday at about 11 P.M., at least a dozen activists gathered near his apartment building shouting “traitor.” One protester, speaking through a megaphone, told his neighbors, “Just as you wouldn’t allow a secular person to live in your building, don’t let a murderer reside with you in the building.”

Sickening.

Fewer civilian casualties while they bomb the shit out of everything, easier to set up going into the tunnels.

The leaders of Hamas aren’t even in Gaza or the West Bank.

Watching the recovered go pro videos from the Hamas terrorists is sickening.

Why would you do such a thing?

it popped up on my twitter feed and was autoplayed. The one I saw was a hamas guy running through some israeli homes and he got shot and died. Video took less than 30s. Thanks musk!

Ugh. That is more than enough to keep me off that hellsite for a bit.

Twitter is autoplaying videos of some pretty gruesome shit, be warned.

I get the purpose of the videos, to show that Hamas could have attacked military targets but instead chose to attack civilians. Hamas was laughably claiming they meant to attack military targets but you know stuff happens and (a lot of) civilians happened to die. But man they really do need to disable autoplay and do the blurring effect

lolwat twitter is really autoplaying murders for anyone to see? I guess I’m a sweet summer child but lol I would have guessed that sort of thing was frowned upon in these parts.

Settings>Accessibility, display, and languages>Accessibility> Video autoplay should work to turn it off

It’s good that he says he believes that evacuated Palestinians will be allowed to return to Gaza, but concerning that he doesn’t seem certain.

Has he said that? Even if true, seems like wishful thinking. Even Bibi won’t (try, since he wouldn’t be allowed to) kill every Palestinian in Gaza.

Also, Hamas has a lot of infrastructure and assets in the north that IDF wants to destroy.

Israel won’t want a fight in urban setting where civilians are providing cover for Hamas to snipe and use grenades that will result in getting their asses kicked so I imagine their goal is going to be turning as much of the country into a parking lot as they can and hope Egypt folds on keeping the border closed.

I may be reading too much into these quotes, but that’s the sense I get.

Everything just seems like madness right now. I worry that people are supporting things that they would regret later. I worry that Israel will do things that will feed a narrative that both sides are the same.

I can’t really say I blame them for feeling that way. I think if I were an Israeli, I’d probably be wanting some Game of Thrones-level revenge, “visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation,” in a way that makes the current trajectory seem like kindness, but I’d probably also feel that way towards Netanyahu’s government.

Agree with all of this.

Comparing atrocities is useless, but I have little sympathy for murdering heaps of civilians in Gaza to accomplish…what exactly? And of course, hoping for rational thought from this government in particular is completely useless.
