2023-2024 House of Representatives Shitshow Containment: MAGA Mike XXS

Would Trump pick Gaetz as VP?

Can’t believe House Republicans aborted Kevin McCarthy at the eight and a half month mark

With a motion the vacate and leaving the Speakership empty, Gaetz and friends can shut down the government without having a vote on a continuing resolution. They may think that avoid a direct vote prevents them from being blamed while making it harder for any compromise to be made with Dems, since such a compromise could come with the price of some power-sharing agreement, so Republicans have to compromise with their own extreme faction to keep power within the party.

With MTG on board that makes 3 potential Trump for speaker nominations but I doubt he is eager to be humiliated in a vote he can’t claim is rigged so he probably pre-emptively declines. Plus there’s this little fly in the ointment.

Trump would never risk losing the vote.

Trump knows he is too stupid to be Speaker of the House.

He was already President. The easiest and top job, so no way he downgrades now.

Isn’t McCarthy like the minimum brain power who can actually, kinda, do the job. Could Scalise actually keep things straight in his head?

Glad to see McCarthy is retaliating against the people who brought him down… Democrats

What is a “capitol hideaway”

well my limited understanding it’s an unlisted office close by so they can go fast if they need to or whatever or hide from insurrectionists looking for their office idk (they aren’t listed and the staff might not know)

but some of them are big enough to hide and uh have fun with your mistresses

mostly senators have these

More Democrats than republicans voted against him LDO.

8:34 Kevin crying that Pelosi lied to him and worrying about the integrity of the institution.

So much this. While the rest of the world was falling into the toxic pit of social media assholery, the dinosaur lawmakers were still trying to figure out how to work the remote.

Now they have figured it out and are fully covered in the detritus of the shit slip n slide.

Ah it even has a Wikipedia. I thought it was some sketchy thing, not a known, semi-official thing. TIL

Seems like Republicans being assholes for the sake of being assholes
