Given his connections, Iâm quite sure the kid would never have to see action if he doesnât want to, so this is pure virtue signaling BS (maybe to the rest of the GOP to show that he has a âsympatheticâ reason not to be in lockstep with the rest of them).

If youâre wondering about the seriousness of the GOP (youâre not), this clown was one of the impeachment managers for Mayorkas. I didnât even recognize any of the others.
Looking at google images, he doesnât strike me as an example of great physical fitness so projection is a good explanation for calling Johnson tubby but now I think about it, he might be saying he looks like a teletubby.
According to this article Van Orden is on Johnsonâs side and called Gaetz tubby.

Van Orden called Gaetz âtubbyâ during the interaction â a jab he said he leveled after Gaetz called him a âsquishâ as they huddled on the floor. Van Orden said he took the insult to mean he was âa soft person.â

I guess Van Orden hasnât looked in the mirror lately but he probably could take Gaetz.
Despite being slender afaik, I could see Gaetz being really vain and sensitive about his appearance. 19 year olds donât want that middle aged paunch.

Johnson said he brought these bills to the floor because otherwise a discharge petition would have succeeded in bringing the Senate bill up for a vote. So sounds like the procedural machinations may have been effective.
