It looks like the funding bill is passing in the Senate so nothing will actually will shut down but they didn’t get it done before midnight so I have to give it to YES.
Man the Senate floor was looking lonely just before the deadline. They make interns sit on the literal floor while they wait for them to do something. SAD

i think this is a performance from mike johnson, like he’s trying to thread the needle between promising dems a ua funding vote on friday, and then, oops, i might not even be speaker anymore. afaict nothing about mike johnson’s role in jan 6 and connections to the russian lobby has been explained.

The constitutional grounds for impeachment are whatever the House wants them to be.
And the trial is whatever rules the Senate wants
Saying it’s unconstitutional is a lie when the real reason is because fuck you, that’s why.
Just to be clear, I don’t mind if Dems lie, but I tend to be nitty about rules and procedures and definitions. Describing what they are, not necessarily following them.
It is also possible some of the Senate Democrats are stupid
