His “adoption” seems so suspect. First, he never actually adopted the kid - claims it was because the adopted process is lengthy - but I don’t think that’s really the case for a non-infant (although not that knowledgeable on the subject). Second, at times he’s made statements indicating he adopted his kid before he got married (although they now claim they adopted him as newlyweds). He also found the kid at some right-wing anti-LGBTQ Christian group for kids, and just decided to take him home.
