I think he loses a vote but it doesn’t matter. He wants maximum chaos and attention. The Speakership or at least the show they’re putting on atm is just the ticket, for now.

to be fair this part of the emmer bio is extremely based. it’s crazy that in some states the dmv can suspend your license based on just a cops word and nothing more and then you have to apply(within a short unknown to most time limit) and fight to get it back.

Policy preferences don’t really matter from the perspective of Democrats, just institutionalism. Someone who wants to execute gays and launch US missiles at Ukraine but who voted to certify in 2020 and would allow a bipartisan CR funding government at previously agreed upon levels would be much preferable to a January 6er who somehow has significantly more moderate political views.
