For me the price of convenience is I go delete cookies whenever zikzak is scolding people. Working out so far.

I specifically asked - what other benefits are there? Honestly wondering it there are other aspects I hadn’t considered.
I can live with curated content since I don’t spend any time on youtube and twitter’s suggested crap seems to be thread-specific, not user-specific.
It’s out-of-statute debt. They can’t legally collect on it.
So fuck them.

Well, I happen to think there is enormous benefit to both individuals and society as a whole to minimize how much personal data gets collected, controlled, and used by terrible companies to make the world a worse place. It is, regrettably, a minority opinion.
Since I can’t have that, I would at least like people to acknowledge that it is their own willingness to trade privacy for convenience that makes this possible.
Youtube’s “Im not interested” button doesn’t work whatsoever, not even for advertisements. They also keep trying to force me to open JP videos. There are other videos they keep trying to force me to watch regardless of what I entered into the search.

I’ve never seen a JP video in my recommendations at YouTube, but I also have only a few categories of video that I watch.
was just going to say the same thing but i don’t use Youtube much except for watching drum covers, music videos occasionally and concert footage. and i watched some series about experts debunking movies so now i get recommended 30 of those every time i open the page. I have one night next month in New York to catch a show. Anyone seen anything amazing on broadway recently? I am leaning towards Come from Away.
I’ve seen most of the “big shows”.

if you were oppressed your whole white life, that means jordan peterson and the current algorithm aren’t really at fault for having radicalized you. they are just opening your eyes to what’s really been going on. which is scandinavian defense is shit, and canada is a totalitarian hellhole that rules the world via hockey commentary.
