Sigh, just saw RATM are canceling the rest of their reunion tour because Zach tore his achilles

:stabby:

Hope that doesn’t include next years leg of it

It does, all dates are done for.

Finally they can stop hiring people to listen to Joe Rogan

Get ready to be SHOCKED that Spotify doesn’t find their toxic masculinity money machine to be “harmful”. FREEZE PEACH! TEACH THE CONTROVERSY!

Didn’t know where to post this.
Any of y’all know anything about extradition treaties?
If someone is facing charges in Laos can they be arrested in Thailand and extradited if there a US citizen?

Every treaty is different. That scenario is too specific for anyone but a specialist attorney to know.

If they committed alleged crimes on Lao soil, probably, unless it was a purely political crime. Depends a bit on how friendly the two countries are right now, but I believe they have an extradition agreement of some sort.

First google result shows Thailand has an extradition treaty with Laos, but the offense must be for a year plus in prison and the potential sentence must be similar to what it would be in Thailand.

Being a US citizen wouldn’t make a difference, at least formally.

Thanks I’m only gonna be in Krabi overnight before flying to Changi.

Chess, poker, and now Irish dancing. Are there no honest people in the world?

THE prestigious global body that governs Irish dancing has been rocked by allegations of competition fixing and cheating.

An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha (CLRG) is dealing with its largest ever alleged cheating scandal, which has seen some of the most successful and well regarded Irish dance teachers and schools accused of fixing competitions for their own students.

I feel like there’s a fun story behind this post.

All the posts here are fundamentally misunderstanding how power works in corrupt developing countries.

“What is legal” is the wrong question.

It all depends on what specific enforcement agencies (police, border control etc) want to do, can be bothered to do, and can be paid not to do.

If your friend has pissed off someone local and rich, hes probably fucked. Otherwise hes probably okay. Laziness and incompetence of the specific agencies will protect him fairly well.

He also needs to learn the phrase

“I’m very sorry. Is there some kind of fine I can pay. I dont need a receipt”

I would add. I’ve only ever paid one bribe. And that was to get someone innocent out of a police station who had been framed for shabu in the middle of Dutertes drug war.

But most importantly. Yeah. We need the story here.

Lol. How can they write this and not include the text

“In one case, a dance teacher and a competition judge appeared to be exchanging sexual favours for higher scores.”
