You have a favorite version yet?
I think I’m going Jubilee = Joyful Noise (depending on mood) with Hallelujah last.

I got sidetracked and have been listening to Jersey Giant on Soundcloud on repeat, so no favorite yet.
I just started listening to the first of 3 sun-albums.
I had tickets to see him and Sturgill Simpson in Toronto in 2020.
That would have been an elite show.
A monument to tax evasion
Ah so they fired both of them after all.
Was a fan but they got dull after a few months or so.
I had tickets to a separate John Prine concert too.
Kicked the guy out of the company, and are scrapping some of the videos they had already shot with him (and editing him out of some stuff when possible). According to the other members, he got busted when he and the employee were engaged in some pda and spotted by some fans of the channel who recognized them and started DMing the other guys about it.
Given how much of the company depends on the direct connection they have with people who watch the channel, they probably felt like they had to do something. His wife had been in their videos quite a bit and his whole persona was kinda being the boring Dad of the group, so they are really experiencing the cost of developing a parasocial bond with your audience. Also, it’s a small company, so there were likely some employee dissatisfaction issues to worry about.
They are building 2 four story houses across the street from me right now. The workers are on janky ass ladders and scaffolding and the rooftop without any safety harnesses. Seems like OSHA would be pretty unhappy about this.
Twenty five years in construction and I have seen OSHA on a job site exactly never.
Really? For an industry that preaches safety that’s shocking to me. I assume you are referencing more residential based instead of commercial based?
No, all of it. I’ve done plenty of commercial too. There are never inspections or spot checks or anything like that. OSHA only shows up after a major incident to file reports and maybe issue fines.
That’s about the same way the USDA goes about inspecting slaughterhouses.
To add, there is usually plenty of safety enforcement on construction sites, especially commercial. But the incentive is fear of being sued, not fear of OSHA.
that’s incorrect. USDA is required to do regular inspections. i get an earful about USDA from my local butcher shop
What could go wrong!? At least it seems relatively low from the ground. If these guys I’m looking at fall they will not be in good shape.
Getting the impression some of you would be genuinely shocked by some of the stuff I routinely see and do.
Planks could be wider but at least they’re level. Chimney not high enough to have to use an upside down 5-gallon bucket to reach the top.
