Must be awfully nice to have rich and powerful parents.
Probably not awfully nice. It’s similar to the having too much money problem.
If you have very rich and powerful parents they are probably spending too much time managing the wealth and power and less time going to your baseball games, helping you with your homework, and whatnot.
I suspect you would have a deeper and more meaningful relationship with parents that are several steps above poor, but not “rich and powerful”.

I posted the other day that the story about the guy in Kentucky with the doomsday mansion was the most AMERICA story of all time but a new contender has entered the ring.
A reporter in the southern state says she was forbidden by prison officials from covering an execution Thursday night because they said her skirt was too short.
Ivana Hrynkiw Shatara, a video news producer for AL.com, claims she was told by a Department of Corrections that her outfit was “inappropriate” and “too revealing” as they barred her from joining other journalists in viewing the lethal injection of convicted killer Joe Nathan James, she tweeted Friday.
Ma’am please do not wear immoral clothing into the place where we have all gathered to watch the state put someone to death.

To complete the assignment, the journalist borrowed rain pants from a photographer then slipped them on under her skirt - only to be told that her open-toed heels were also inappropriate, she said.
“I was told my shoes were also too revealing…and needed to change shoes,” she said.

I just got charged $2.75 for a fried egg on top of a $12 Korean rice bowl. They also had a separate charge for gochujang. WTF?

Yeah, inflation is real. Especially in restaurant prices. Also I’ve noticed smaller portion sizes (which in the US, is probably not the worst thing).
