Well I’m from Utica and I’ve never heard anyone use it.

We’ve come a long way in 4 years. Need a larger sympathy card section.

It’s an Albany expression.

Boot was a very common term for vomiting in suburban Boston late 80s. We used to monitor boot DEFCON.

I assume that like Inuits and snow, Bostonians have like 50 different terms to describe throwing up.

Yes I’ve heard it a bit and I’m roughly in the area.

If somebody is about to throw up from a second story (or higher!) window, you’re supposed to yell “DAS BOOOOOOT!!!” as a warning to people below.

This is possibly a hyper-regional variation, i.e., only in my late 80s dorm.

“Boot and rally” standard parlance in early 2000s SoCal college culture, but “boot” apart from “rally” wasn’t all that common.

yea I’m in southern california and I thought this was a common term. i even heard it the other day.

They even get their own rolls now. smh
