I got tailed last night by a cop with high beams right on my ass in a subdivision, I wasn’t actually pulled over, but I decided it was wise to just pull over because it seemed like the best course of options. The guy comes in flashing his flashlight everywhere looking for drugs, I tell him I’m just trying to get back to my Airbnb and pull it up on the app, he apologizes and says he’s looking for carjackers and such.
There’s so many ways this interaction could have gone bad, especially if I was black. This was in Jacksonville fwiw.

Historically I would’ve already been throwing $20 down the drain for this Mega Millions jackpot, but due to inflation I was waiting for it to reach $750M to feel more comfortable about the real winnings. This actually only entered my brain when I saw the article below.
Does anyone else gambool it up when it gets absurd? I have literally zero expectation of even winning one of the lesser prizes, but also rationalize it because 20 bucks lol. commonWealth may want to buy a few just in case…
i used to only buy one because the actual difference between 1 and 20 is meh
this time i’ve been buying more than 1. i’m too lazy to do this but i think it’s better ev to choose numbers > 30 to reduce the likelihood of chops from people’s birthday numbers
Winning that much money would probably ruin your life. It would almost certainly not give you a good one.
