Spent last weekend in SLC. Grew up with a bunch of Mormons so I had some idea how crazy their history is.
We went to the LDS Church History Museum. You’d think they would make it seem less crazy, but somehow we left thinking LDS is even crazier than what we had already known.
The people were really nice, and the organ recitals and the choir at the Tabernacle is a must see if you’re in the area.
Gervais special was meh. There wasn’t much about cancel culture aside from the bit on trans people. Rest of it was basically the same topics Ricky covered in previous specials.
Thing is that’s all you need. Chappelle’s special stayed relevant for a very long time because of his bits on trans people and Ricky is doing the same.
Even though I’m nearby I’ve never been in any of the buildings. Walking by always gets me a few greetings from the faithful but I don’t pay much attention to church goings-on. Twitter alerts me to anything that crosses my threshold for caring.

Thanks - as a lawyer I find the trial super interesting and have enjoyed watching some of the analysis - but it’s been almost impossible to find analysis that isn’t pro-Depp (even in terms of misstating basic legal principles to make his case look better).
That Depp text is all you need to know that he is a complete psycho. Dunno what happened during their relationship but this frivolous duplicate lawsuit is clearly just him attempting to inflict harm on her, i.e. continuing to abuse her.
Yeah there is absolutely no scenario that warrants a text like that. It says everything about the person sending it.
