It‘s because of William III who together with his wife Mary deposed catholic King James II in England, Scotland and Ireland. William was from the Netherlands (orange is their national color too) and one of his titles was „Prince of Orange“ (after a town in Southern France).
I have no idea why green symbolizes Irish Catholics.

Jeopardy is not singular in being a qualitatively dumb show (answer in the form of a question? enough.) but in the way it makes everyone who watches it awful as well. Watching the Price is Right with your loved ones is a wonderous communal experience that brings everyone together. Watching Jeopardy makes you a jackass who thinks anyone gives a shit that you know how many plays Falstaff was in. Getouttahere.

I’m not an expert but it’s probably safe to say that practical batteries are limited by materials, not physics. A given battery chemistry has a maximum theoretical specific energy (energy per kg) but we don’t come close to that in practice. We can get several times more energy into a lithium ion battery than we do but we’d have more car fires. We’ll do better. We’ll develop better materials, new chemistries, safer implementations.

Amazon will refund you every time. They give no fricks. There are various reports around the ether that they are destroying hundreds of thousands of packages a week.
I can’t speak to the veracity of the reports but it aligns with my experience of delivering packages for them. They have no contingency plans for obvious situations like people passing away. They literally do not care about waste on that level.
They have such a stranglehold on product inventory that it is actually logical for this kind of waste to happen.
