You can always just console yourself with perennial basketball contention. Most people don’t even get one sport they can count on.
I’d say about 80% of their fanbase is convinced they already have Riley in the bag.
Oh I mean it’s not even close to a done deal. But the murmurs around here it is that is a possibility. Probably not even 30% but a possibility. Just saw one article saying Stoops would be the desperation choice…which I can’t imagine makes Stoops happy. But I suspect this LSU coach search won’t drag out long. They have to get started recruiting immediately, so I don’t expect to sweat more than a week.
But yes always good to have basketball. But been fun to actually be competitive under Stoops.
