In the past I have always hated circle jerk threads (i dunno if that word is ok to use or not, sorry if it isn’t, I don’t know any other term) but it felt like given the amount of frickin vitriol lately that it might be a good idea to do one to remind people that we all basically like each other. I was concerned this thread would get no posts lol. I’m glad people are participating.

in my head it feels worse to feel like an outsider in the community than it feels good to get props for participating. this is all middle school mentality but online forums kinda are exactly that. not sure if that make sense to anyone else.

@mosdef quite often when I’m about to make a 2 paragraph post, I scroll a bit further and mosdef has already made the same point, but better, in just 2 sentences.
@anon10396289 nobody gets more ribbing and shit talking thrown their way, while rarely returning serve in kind. If everyone on the board had his demeanor and thick skin, there’d be 99% less drama imo. I’m not sure the space time continuum could handle that much contrarianism though.

Dude posts his memes in huge blocks that lesser posters (like me) would split up into 5+ posts for likes. Just absolutely ridiculous density of top notch memes that I inevitably end up showing to my wife and she scrolls through laughing at.

I just realized @poopypants deserves a mention here. He posts very infrequently, but the quality of his posts are El Diablo-esque. He was consistently in the highest like to post ratio of any poster I’ve seen when I was tracking that data (which was problematic, so I stopped doing it). He has a CAREER ratio of like 6.0. Dude that is insane. I skim-read a lot and will not always look at usernames but every time I stop and go “oh, that was a really good/funny post” a large amount of the time it’d be him and the post would have a bazillion likes on it.
Want to include some people that are maybe not in the cool kids club or noticed often but are solid contributors.

@Jalfrezi for always reading my blog. I think going back like 10 years now almost. That is fucking wild. I wasn’t sure how long it had been - and the old blog is gone, so I had no way of searching 2p2. So I went deep into my archives and did some hackery and searched your username in what remains of my old blog (just a bunch of html files in my google drive).
