World of Warcraft (classic wotlk)

It really is crazy the amount of stuff that these addons have access to and can control.

I don’t stare at threat meter though, that’s a recipe for standing in some fire or missing a mechanic. I mostly pay attention to the rest of the fight and then glance at it if I crit a bunch of times in a row, because hunter threat can just climb to an insane amount very very quickly. I also have to watch pet threat sometimes.

I am a pretty good hunter I think. I topped dps on 3/5 fights and the ones I didn’t were very add heavy, and I don’t do so well on dps unless I can pump into a single target for a ~20 second window.

We got all bosses down except netherspite and prince. Netherspite was attempted twice, I think we would’ve gotten the third but tank had to go. People were really struggling with the mechanics for some reason and tanks struggled picking the boss back up after he goes ethereal and everyone has to run to the back window. It was just a total clusterfuck every time.

The shade fight I was really worried about but we 3 shot it despite most of the raid never having done it before. We wiped on the chess event once, LMAO.

No gear for me other than the gun 2 nights ago but I’m very pleased we got so much done in 2 days. I think we clear it this reset 100%. My dps was absolutely insane with this new gun - I was blowing people out of the water on every fight except illhoof because I can’t compete with warlock AOE, but other than that, just insane dps. 700-800 on most fights (1.1k on illhoof) and I was exhausted so I think I could have even done better had I not been fucking up my rotations so much. Hunter OP.

Yea like 2k autoshot crits… they go off about once a second when I pop everything. Just gross. I saw my pet crit a gore for 1.2k lol.

Funny because in dungeons in the first two weeks absolutely no one wanted to take a hunter, and now I’m seeing “lf hunter dps” in practically every heroic dungeon spam. How the tables have turned.

Hit 64 on the druid, got one dungeon in with the new life bloom healing spell - it’s pretty awesome, but I’m actually struggling now a bit. I struggle on when to apply rejuve vs going 3 stacks of lifebloom, or when to throw a regrowth - it never seems like I have time for the regrowth.

Right now I prioritize rejuvenation on targets taking moderate damage so I can throw a swiftmend on them later if they get low. Then I will apply lifebloom stacks as necessary, then I guess regrowth is for burst. Idk. Still figuring it out. It seems really hard to maintain 3 stacks of lifebloom and also cast regrowths and rejuves and stuff, the GCD is very prohibitive.

This thread keeps tempting me, so I tried to get the free level 20 thing, but it looks like that’s for the main game only. Then I remembered, lol, I actually bought the full game in 2017ish. This is the thing, I don’t remember what battle.net id I used, I don’t remember what email account it was linked to, the only thing I can probably find is the purchase on the credit card statement. Will that be enough to track down my account?

I’ll paypal you $15 :expressionless:

Is it possible to just buy/sign up for classic without having the full game? I was trying to do it on bnet and it seemed not to have a wow classic only download.

I’m pretty sure wow classic is just a tab in battlenet, it should be free to download (but I’m not sure you can log in without a sub). I never ever installed the retail client, or at least never remember doing so. I don’t know how the free trial works.

I made a second account for another boost, it was pretty fast because I already had the client installed tho. I couldn’t log in til I paid, and then in game my character was “restricted” for about 12 hours, couldn’t trade or join a guild or anything because the payment was still pending. Greedy bastards. Once the card authorization goes through, they should just give full access. But nah, they want every single physical fucking penny before they let you do anything.

Blizz is the worst, lol. Can’t believe I ever wanted to work there. But here I am just shoveling money at them.

I have all blue dungeon gear (it’s so easy to get geared when all you do are dungeons and you’re the only healer rolling) and over 600 healing power already - I’m pretty sure I’m bis for my level and my heals pack a punch (actually too strong right now, I have to downrank a lot). But yes you’re probably right.

Nature swiftness is easy. It’s an oh shit button that you combo with healing touch for a full bar heal. Swiftmend, in my opinion, seems like it should be used on cooldown, so I’m thinking rejuvenation should usually be on targets. Idk. I’ll figure it out. All the advice online pretty much says “it depends.” I do like that you have to make a lot of rapid-fire healing decisions during a fight, especially during a scuffed pull, which happens all too frequently in pugs.

Yea the mid 60’s dungeon gear cannot compete with t3 gear from classic. That’s a lot of healing power - I’m not even sure at this point how I could get more since I prioritize that stat over the others and all my pieces are healing pieces. I guess my weapon could be a little better, it only has 120.

I’m not feeling pressure, so to speak, just having a hard time keeping someone up with HoTs alone and not overhealing a ton.

Like it’s either someone is getting absolutely chunked and I have to spam regrowths on him so he doesn’t die, or, I’m keeping 3 stacks of lifebloom on the tank and it’s overhealing like crazy. For non-tanks I probably should just forget lifebloom unless I’m topping them off or something. Swiftmend is really good for healing non-tanks.

Yea healing touch sucks ass from my pov, when you really need it it’s often too slow to get off in time (3.5 seconds lmao). I’m also dropping my healing touch talents because I just think they’re ass. I read someone say that “if you are using healing touch a lot, something is going very very wrong” and I think that’s correct.

I probably shouldnt gaf about overhealing right now because I have way more mana than I need, and these heals are super efficient. Like lifebloom ticks 115 for 7 seconds and then bursts for 1k or something. For less than 200 mana I get almost 2k healing. Probably not an issue if it overheals.

Lmao, I’m a moron. Hots don’t overheal in this expansion. time to spam that shit.

Hm, must be reading bad info. I tested it, definitely overheals.

However using mostly lifebloom for healing I practically cannot go oom so I’m just spamming it. If you’re not going oom, worrying about overhealing is pointless. Had two very quick dungeon runs in BF on my lunch and the tank spam pulled and i was easily able to keep up and only drank a handful of times (mostly in the technician hallway)

This has been asked like a million times and I don’t see a consensus but can I heal the 70 stuff solo as shadow? I have like 900 heal. I did slabs just fine the other day but want to do tempest keep stuff.

I only have classic and paid through my battle.net account I believe which I used for SC2 etc.

:heavy_plus_sign: 1, you’ll find yourself going OOM much more quickly and often, so bring lots of water.

Thanks. I don’t care about heroics atm and everyone hates me anyways. Had no mana problems in SL. Now we’ll see if people let me in.

We have been slowly grinding through the game with my BIL and sister running instances with just the 4 of us. We are in our 40s now and I know we will be fine for a bit longer but will the higher end dungeons be doable for us with just 4(55+)?

My two toons that are higher level are a Fury Warrior and Feral Druid, we also have a Resto Shaman, Priest, Rogue, Hunter and a couple mages.

Just dont even tell them you’re shadow, that’s what I would do.

The problem if you go to higher dungeons is that spells will be resisted quite often, and physical attacks will miss or be parried/blocked/dodged way more often. You’ll do like no damage.

For dps the rule I play with is I don’t go into dungeons where the mobs are more than 3 levels higher than me.
