made the move to benediction, and it is definitely a different experience than where i was, thats for sure.
just about doubled my gold in the move though, so that’s nice.
little scared of future que times if a lot of people come back for prepatch/wrath though.
yeah the best guild on our server xfer’d a couple weeks ago, and are currently barely in the top 25 on bene.
we kind of panic moved as soon as the internal guild poll results came back in support of it. and we’ve moved like 2 dozen of the 30 or so people in the last 2 days.
I don’t get why they’d be moving from Pagle to Bene, is it for like streams/exposure as they’re already #1 there? Like you said Pagle is already a mega server.
from what i understand it’s mostly a bit of grass is greener recruitment wise. a lot of guilds are thinking they can recruit better players from a larger pool.
it’s going to be interesting, because we’d like about 3-4 players to fill out and now we are in a complete unknown situation and recruiting… we went from top 5-10 on westfall to now our clear times look to be barely top 100 on bene. may end up just gdkp’ing until wrath if it doesnt go our way

yeah i would agree with this. i was checking to see if any “new to benediction” guilds were in their top 15 or so speeds for sunwell, and it looks like ALL top 15 sunwell parses have corresponding BT parses from the previous phases. so no one has been xferring and taking a top spot.
stealth nerfing all the dungeon farms is sad. was hoping to still be able to atleast solo farm some gold in the boring lead up to prepatch…
hoping they announce tomorrow that the end of the arena season aug. 9th and prepatch as Aug. 16th and give us a solid bit of time in it… but knowing them, we’ll get some rushed bs.

It makes sense given the 50% xp increase buff.
tl;dr for jmakin
the 50% exp buff started today. without any type of announcement. and then mid morning hotfixed nerfs rolled out on mobs in dungeons. including stratholme mobs that will stun paladins THROUGH divine shield continuously. slave pens mobs cant be slowed like freddbird said, they also are faster just in general making them harder to pull for paladins. the slabs mobs occasionally will teleport if cc’d to long.
also flat exp nerfs when in for groups with a higher level player. a couple buddies and i tested me tanking a ramparts for a group of 60s and 61s and they got less than 90 exp per mob.
my complaint is that i dont mind them nerfing boosting with massive exp penalties. i disagree with them attempting to kill solo dungeon farming because that’s not actually going to stop bots or gold sellers it just ends up stopping real people from keeping up with them. you were able to buy thousands of gold on Season of Mastery within the first month or so with all these changes implemented, so it doesn’t stop them.
also if they are going to nerf boosting into the ground then give us random dungeon finder for levels below HEROIC dungeons. so people can actually do something other than questing.

yea the nerf to boosting is completely absurd without rdf. it follows the first terrible decision though. once i realized they were stupd enough to get rid of rdf, that boosters would be stoked on that, I figured they’d inevitably make this same decision.
people will incorrectly go “yay, boosting sucks, good job blizz!”
it does suck. but the reason people do it is BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE.

I find it funny to compare the characters of anakin/vader to arthas/lich king. tons of parallels there, so many that I think it may be on purpose. even his suit of armor is very vaderish.
I put the DK on my hunter/paladin account, not sure if that was a mistake. I like being able to get priest and druid buffs on demand especially as a tank, so having my two tanks on one account seems like a good idea. ideally I’d have a pally on both accounts but there’s zero chance of that, I hate playing paladin and only made one because it’s by far the best class in the game
oh Im a fucking moron i get two boosts! I’m going to boost a paladin on the other account, awesome. I guess my other boost will be a mage because I really need one, putting that on the hunter/pally/dk account means my healers (priest, druid) will be able to get ports and water. I’m very likely to end up just maining druid this expansion again.

I didn’t get to execute my grand plan to become a gold billionaire at launch, oh well, going in broke and raw again, hopefully this expansion doesn’t break my mind like TBC did. Ulduar is rough.
this game’s so much better on the modern client than the ancient one i’ve been using on P servers, holy cow. I always love how they keep your settings server side now rather than client side, back in the day every time you changed computers you’d have to reconfigure all your hotkeys.
