World Cup 2022: Congrats to Argentina and the GOAT (WATCH THIS GAME, BEST GAME EVER)

Are you aware the world cup has objectively bad refs?

The Canada game had the AFCON ref who blew for full time at '85 for example

Where the US struggled to tie against a British providence a hundredth of its size? I caught the second half.

Iā€™m going to watch the itv stream. Entire the enemies lair.

ITV stream is relatively good in terms of quality - be aware you will get spoiled ITT thou as the internet viewing ainā€™t as quick as cable - at least thatā€™s the case this side of the pond

If the moderators could sort a 2 min thread delay, that would be great! (prolly impossible)

EPL rights here hot bought by FUBO for this year.

My feed has consistently been ~20 seconds behind. Really annoying

Watched the Iran Wales game on delay. What a gut punch that goal was.

During the US Wales game they were saying how many important games the ref has had. Turns out he was given them because Qatar needed a ref in the WC. Still fucking blew

The ā€œgive every confederation refs, even people who have at most reffed an afcon or Asia championship gameā€ is absurd.

Ahahahaha are these really the warm up tops for the us?

Hideous

They are much much better than both Englandā€™s and USā€™ actual game uniforms you troll

Dempsey doing gambling ads makes me sad

Iā€™m going to guess USA will be too scared to high pressure and leave their full backs isolated vs Saka and Sterling so they wonā€™t do anything interesting tactically, which will mean they get a 1-1 draw if England plays within themselves and USA finishes a chance or they just lose if England has at least their B game.

So in WCS when it says the game starts at noon, what does that mean?

In Canada even Gretzky does them. NHL this year adopted digital ads on the ice/boards

Just gross.

Yep, my Rangers games also have Henrik Lundqvist doing ads for Caesarā€™s sportsbook as well.

The recent ones had Jon Lovitz. Who gets Jon Lovitz in 2022?

Aaron Paul and Gretzky I got.

But Lovitz?

Comparatively it is very fluid. The break for a goal kick is a matter of seconds but some VAR decisions go on for 5 minutes or more.

Compared with say cricket where DRS stops the game but no one minds because itā€™s not a fluid game because of the break between balls (if you canā€™t imagine this think of baseball).

If you donā€™t find the way a DRS check after a goal prevents fans from a full and spontaneous celebration, which is the real joy of football, I really donā€™t know what to say about your experiences of watching the game but believe me no fans here like VAR much.

I meanā€¦ itā€™s not. Itā€™s routinely far more. Hell a GK holding the ball is routinely 15+ seconds. The fluidity you speak of doesnā€™t exist past the 60th minute.

Like I said, seconds not 5 minutes.

Rybelsus should have used Down with the Sickness over this cringe jingle they came up with.
