How are you guys guessing actual answers on the third try instead of burning the 15 most common letters? There’s a timer. I need a lot of info ASAP in Octordle.

If you’re referring to the clocks, it’s not a timer. You get those for guesses 11-13 no matter how slow or fast you play. My usual Octordle strat is to use my start word, scan the board to see if I have enough information to make a good guess on #2, but more often use the second guess to burn more letters. #3 is usually an attempt to get an answer because my goal is no clocks. I ended up doing the same strat today because it took me two guesses to realize I could’ve done better.

Yes. They are clocks showing 1100, 1200, and 1300 to signify correct answers on guesses 11, 12, and 13, respectively. They use them because I guess they’re the best single emoji for representing 11, 12, and 13, and somebody decided using single emojis (instead of multiple emojis like sedecordle+ variants) was important enough to confuse literally everyone who starts playing the game until they figure it out.
