Got one wrong in the archives
Didn’t consider onomatopoeia when guessing words
That’s more than five letters. No wonder you got it wrong.
Absurdle is kinda fun.
Absurdle 7/∞
Way more fun
Absurdle 7/∞
Ha, that’s crazy
Absurdle 7/∞
This could be dangerous.
Absurdle 6/∞
Got it in 5:
Absurdle 5/∞
DOING
HALTS
REBUY
CREEP
WRECK
Had a good run going (114) in Finnish version and nearly binked 115th with
Lakki (cap)
Pakki (mess kit)
Sakki (gang)
Rakki (mutt)
Nakki (frankfurter)
Takki (jacket)
And it was
Jakki (yak)
Fuck this, I’m out.
I think the English version of that would be something like *OUGH
With hard mode i get that you have to use letters you’ve picked that are part of the word, but a couple of things I’m not clear about:
-
if you’ve picked a correct letter AND its correct position, do your subsequent guesses have to have that letter in its correct position?
-
can you reuse letters that you’ve picked before that are not part of the word at all?
Yes.
Yes, I just tried this out and you can do this.
I’m so immature. I just did an Absurdle and I giggled at the final word:
GAYER
Absurdle 10/∞
If you’re only missing one letter, it’s always going to be the last possible combination.
The rules mention this.
This seems pretty good for going in with only a vague strategy:
Absurdle 5/∞
WORST
BLANK
CHUMP
DEIFY
VIVID
Absurdle 5/∞
AISLE
COURT
FUNGI
DUMPY
BUDDY
Seems like the best strat is similar to wordle, blow through the common letters and shrink the bucket as much as possible.
Heh I just started playing absurdle and didn’t realize what the catch was and was getting incredibly frustrated that it was taking me seven guesses
That’s probably mostly correct but I’m scared to take it too far or I’ll end up with some obscure word that I don’t even know.
Better from me
Wordle 221 3/6*
You won’t. It’s like Wordle in that it accepts all 12000 or so five letter words as answers from you, but it has only 2000 fairly common words that it will allow as the hidden true answer.
Btw, I’ve been trying for over an hour to get it in four, but can’t manage. If somebody gets it, I’d love to see the word choices that work.
