That’s impressive, can’t think of an opener that would lead me to guess that on 2nd try
My opener is always AISLE. I went with AROMA to try the R, O, and second A. The M isn’t bad either. Maybe not optimal but I’m not super fussy with my second guess.

I had a nice wtf moment with wordle today. Solved it in 4 and then asked in my friend group chat “what the hell even is that”. Friend was like “umm is this some kind of joke im not getting”. Turns out I had a different word today because I still had the OG wordle site opened. I refreshed and it changed to NYT with today’s new word. So I added two to my streak today.

I’m also on the old game. I was trying to figure out how ATC got it in 2 guesses when he said his second guess wasn’t the [old wordle] answer.

Been playing with a 3-word opener set for quordle when the first two don’t lead to an immediate guess. Today it barely helped me at all but the elimination of four more letters from the alphabet is big, I feel like this is the route to rarely failing (but also rarely getting it in 6).

Semantile sucks major ass. You have to start by guessing random words and this can go on for 100+ words. It will also blatantly mislead you about similarity. The secret word today is surgeon. Out of curiosity, I experimented with serum, heal, pill, ointment, and cure. All cold, and most ice cold. You know what’s closer to the secret word than ”cure”? Fucking “tree”. I’m done with this.

Yeah, your last example there is more proof that words appearing together in a phrase (since a tree surgeon is a thing) seems to really jack up the score, which means when you get a high scoring word, you can’t know exactly why it’s high scoring.
