Had to call an ambulance for my mom last night. Iāve mentioned before sheās permanently disabled and on oxygen and I take care of her.
Turns out she has the flu, slight pneumonia, and COPD exacerbation. Shes doing ok right now but this is pretty fucking terrible for someone her age and with her health so Iām pretty fucking freaked out right now.
Me being the only one taking care of her, she doesnāt really leave the house. So I probably gave it to her which would fucking crush me. Only other possibility is she got it at the hospital because I took her there 3 days ago because of the COPD exacerbation. They said she didnāt have the flu and pneumonia then so I guess its also a possibility she got it at the hospital, since I havenāt been sick at all.
I dunno, this sucks.

Sorry. Sheās in the right place to recover from the flu which she could easily have caught from someone else with it at the hospital so it would be silly to beat yourself up. Hope sheās better soon.

Iām sorry about your mom. Iāve logged a lot of hospital visit time lately. Some of the people working there are really great. But overall it sucks. I hope sheās out and back home quickly.

This is probably right. The flu typically incubates for 48-72 hours prior to manifesting symptoms.
