I was at my folk’s place in Seattle Friday through this morning. They have two window units, so they were both in the living room during the day, then in our two bedrooms at night. Not great, but manageable. I have central air, but rather than paying my mortgage to PGE this month, I turned it off while I was gone. Got home about 2 this afternoon. 114 F outside, 92 F inside. 88 now. Got a ways to go.
Porn is free. Expect good service and tip well for it. Not on your chances of getting laid or how hot the person who walks your food over is. I think the topics previously about how this forum can be better for women should be noticed here.
I wouldn’t be surprised if completely turning off your AC actually is more expensive and turning up your thermostat to something like 80 degrees while gone would have been cheaper.

I agree with this. I will say though I dated 4 or 5 bartender/waitresses from the same casino when I was in my 20s. I would hang out at the bar after poker sessions and during the week it was always slow and just started to bullshit with the bartenders.I never was like yo what’ your number or creepy. I don’t think I ever even asked them out. Usually they invited me out to another bar or their place after they got off their shift. There was a lot of awkwardness after breakups though.

Nah. Newton’s law of cooling hurts you hard here. With the increased temperature differential increasing the rate of heat transfer, you spend a ton more energy keeping something cool than by re-cooling it.

I used to go into the basement at my local dive bar and smoke out the waitresses and they would all take a break and get high with me. Then, afterparties and bands in basements with other women who are their friends etc. I don’t want to say it’s normal because I definitely struggle with shyness and social anxiety at times but if you are just nice and talkative without creeping women out you will go far.

At the very least with that attitude you, if desperate enough to get laid, should easily be able to go hogging without creeping out other women. Girls are out to find dick.
Do you have a lot of windows at your place? I keep my apartment cool enough in the summer to never need AC because I don’t let any natural sunlight in. I can see the decision on whether to turn off the AC being dependent on how old and efficient your home is, in addition to just how hot it is outside.
Do smart thermostats let you completely turn the AC on and off so you can fire it up remotely while you are a few hours away or do they just let you control the temperature setting?
