If the former, depending on the species, there is not much you can likely do. Touching them at all is a bad idea. Call the local wildlife office.

I gotta quit reading that Astral Codex Ten blog. I don’t understand how someone so smart can have such gigantic blind spots. It’s like an ultra-educated Joe Rogan.

Like what’s the point of posting this on a blog whose whole spirit is supposed to be poking holes in counter-intuitive stuff that the general public thinks is common sense?
In the comments he sort of implies he’s making a purely intellectually curious argument about how people are only partisan when they realize the issue is partisan:
My guess is most people don’t connect this seemingly common sense question to the controversy about voting rights they’ve heard about (and would split along party lines if they realized this was something their party had a contrary opinion on).
So is it common sense or “seemingly common sense”? What’s the damn point of bringing it up if not to support voter ID laws?
The way this guy focuses on tiny molehills like “wokeness” while completely ignoring the looming mountain of shit Republicans are building right now tilts me to no end.
He’s super-Jewish too. Does he think the end result if the “Jews will not replace us” Proud Boys get their way is going to work out well for him? He seems to think the biggest threat to his peace and happiness is out of control diversity training.
I wish he’d just stick to pointing out BS in the drug and medical industry. I think he’s a classic case of knowing a lot in one field = assuming you can sniff out BS in any other field.
