Who will run in 2020?

For sure but the current establishment favorite is like Kamala Harris who I think is much worse of a pick. (Harris is the current predictit odds favorite)

Each candidate has slightly different “who should be their VP” and it’s gonna be heavily debated as most can go one way or the other.

I just read an article suggesting Tulsi as a possibility for Bernie and my reaction was shoot me so…

There’s a good Tulsi Xmas Present(s) joke in here somewhere but I can’t find it.

Yeah I’m halfway through this shitty article and the only actual answer I can find to “why Biden?” is “she liked the impression she got when she sat down with the former vice president” And that’s literally fucking it maybe I missed it in the first 2000 words tho

Lol at the idea that a paid political consultant who jumped ship from Bernie to Biden is an example of the kind of millennial the party needs to take back the White House.

The whole article boiled down to “everyone who has met her agrees she doesn’t care about progressive causes, she is just a hired gun - but why would she join Biden’s campaign? Well, it’s because deep down even progressives just love electable daddy”.

I listen to gibberish all day and Simon is a top gibber gasher… :top:

Pete Staffer: Oh shit, FEC deadline is in a few days and our average donation is super high from all these damn wine cave meals.

Pete: No problem.

I’m tempted to go with the Universe Song but I’m afraid that’s taking things too far…eh, what the hell

I feel like I’m in the lead unless there’s a way to donate negative amounts.

Can I go to jail if I send pubic hair to Pete’s campaign headquarters? He probably needs some anyways.

Technically you’re tied for first with hundreds of millions of people.

So what you’re saying is that I’m in first place.

As am I. Really glad he turned corporate before I made my customary small donation. I would have wanted it back within a week or two. Really faded some real tilt that would have really hurt the psychological ev of my political giving hobby this cycle.

I’d like to think I have in some small way discouraged others from donating, so I’m in the red.

You know what? I’ll claim that as well. Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the positivity.

Lots of disingenuous points, like saying he hasn’t faced any criticism, but even this is a small step in the right direction. I still can’t picture the eDem coalition getting behind Bernie, but small steps towards them not actively killing his campaign would be nice.

Apparently he’s been playing the game a bit, courting party types with a beefed up staff. Delicate balance to be sure. Man has the Clinton presidency aged horribly. I suspect Obama will age similarly. Neoliberals f’n suck.

Disagree on the Obama point because I think it assumes we’ll see a liberal President at some point. Obama is the last respectable President this country will ever see.

Yeah you guys need to stop doing projections using a ruler to extrapolate current trends to the sky. It doesn’t work that way. It’s never worked that way. There is a reaction to every single thing that happens. Politics more than most things.

yeah, I forgot he was running too
