It seems really likely that impeachment will backfire. You know how we all get excited when courts slap Trump down? That’s what the Senate is going to do when they don’t remove and they are going to be smart about it and make it a big declaration about how the impeachment was all a witch hunt and they’re going to do it a week before the election and then Trump is going to win.
Normally I’d be on sky’s side here because fainting couch does at least feel gendered to me… but she’s got a long history of painting people who don’t like Pete as homophobic so it rings hypocritical to me. You can’t cry wolf constantly and then expect me to take you seriously, even if this is the most legit argument you’ve had.
What I’m trying to say is that skydiver8 is exhibit A for that ‘liberal’ that tries to weaponize political correctness constantly in super disingenuous ways, and as a result has no credibility.
Then again I’m an asshole so I could be wrong about all of this. Time will tell I guess.

The problem is that in the grand scheme of things an endorsement, even a bad endorsement, is nowhere near on the level of the damage that Pete’s actual stated politics and political strategy is doing to the Dem party right now.
Basically no one is saying that misogyny isn’t important. No one called anyone stupid. The fainting couch reference was because it is hard to take someone (as someone else said) concern trolling while supporting literally the worst candidate in the field. The one candidate who has done by far the most damage to the progressive wing of the party. It had nothing whatsoever to do with sky being a woman. Trying to make it about that is completely ridiculous.

And the fact that it will probably be weaponized by the Pete’s of the world and their surrogates is exactly what we saw here. Which is exactly what pisses me off. Literally the endorsement/withdrawal will matter exactly zero to any of us ever. Pete burning M4A to the ground in order to further his political career will matter greatly to all of us. So ya I’m going to be a bit pissed off if you show up here supporting Pete and pretending this is some huge deal while your candidate of choice is a giant POS.

If what they care about are shitty Judges and horrible policy from and for Israel then is that wrong? They have a bad person as President, but the stuff they want that affects hundreds of millions of people is getting done.

Ok, both the kind of person you want and doing the work you want is the best of all worlds, but in this world we have to make choices between less than perfect alternatives. Some very decent people are just wrong about stuff that causes millions of people to suffer and I’d rather have a complete asshole who has a completely fucked up personal life who doesn’t do that.

If we want to be realistic, there is no Democratic candidate who I think is so immoral that I wouldn’t vote for them because of it if I liked their policies, thought they were capable, knowledgeable and experienced enough to enact them, and I believed they really were going to work for what they are saying on their stump tour.

also the candidates are threatening to boycott the december debate over a picket line. I’d be such a huge mistake for some campaigns not to take the free airtime that I don’t see it actually happening but hey who knows.
Some people already think Arizona is easier than Wisconsin in 2020. Worth nothing but my odds are Trump 52% for wisconsin, guess it’s 53% with this news. Arizona about 55%.
